Job Description
Location – Head Office – Mahé
The Senior Operations & Logistics Officer supports the day-to-day operations, logistics, and procurement of SIF across Mahé, Praslin, Aldabra and Assomption, ensuring that activities are executed efficiently, cost-effectively and in line with organizational policies and conservation objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly supervises the Operations & Logistics Officers, coordinates key operational processes, and provides operational input and reports to the Operations & Logistics Manager.
- Maintains professional relationships with suppliers, service providers, contractors, and regulatory agencies for routine operational matters, and contributes to resource management, compliance, and operational planning as directed by the Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum BSc or equivalent in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Management or Environmental Management.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
- At least 3 to 5 years in a supervisory/management role with direct responsibility for staff and resource management.
Valid driver’s license (Class 2 or 4 is required)
