Green Generation Seychelles (GGS)
A non governmental organisation based in Seychelles whose vision is to increase the ecological consciousness in every mind to leave a greener world for the future generation. GGS’s mission is to ensure people love and care for nature and have a more sustainable lifestyle by sharing environmental knowledge.
GGS Objectives
- Provide environmental education to children in order to inspire them to become green citizens.
- Sensitize adults on their natural environment and the importance of preserving the natural resources.
- Involve communities for taking actions to solve environmental problems.
- Create an environmental education center
- Develop media coverage on good environmental practices.
GGS AT WORK
Sensitization through public meetings & School Presentations – GGS is dedicated to raising awareness about environmental preservation. Through workshops, school programs, and community outreach, GSS educates on environmental issues and solutions, including practical ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Eco Intervention – GGS collaborates with various partners to organize volunteer activities for the restoration, protection, and management of natural and sensitive sites, including clean-up efforts. These partnerships mobilize communities, provide resources, and raise awareness about environmental preservation, inspiring collective responsibility and fostering a culture of conservation.
Eco Camps across the Islands – GGS eco camps offer children immersive experiences in nature across various islands, focusing on conservation, biodiversity, and sustainable living through activities like beach cleanups, wildlife conservation, and hands-on projects.
Eco Clubs – GGS runs engaging eco clubs across Seychelles, providing young students with the knowledge and tools to become environmental advocates.
These clubs foster a sense of responsibility and creativity as they learn about environmental issues and explore solutions.
