Job Description
Location – Fond Ferdinand – Praslin
The Maintenance Assistant will report to the Property Maintenance Supervisor for all aspects of SIF property maintenance and infrastructure at Fond Ferdinand on Praslin.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertakes the maintenance of SIF property at Fond Ferdinand.
- Undertakes the maintenance of all infrastructure, cleanliness and hygiene of the work areas.
- Conducts inspection on all facilities and maintain regular maintenance on the existing building.
- Undertakes the maintenance of trails and fire breaks.
- Carries out coco-de-mer collection and removal of exotic plants and alien species.
- Undertakes maintenance of water system and reservoir.
- Conducts inspection and report defects, damage and malfunctions found on property to the supervisor.
- Undertakes the maintenance/repairs of tools, furniture, fixtures and fittings.
- Assist in the prevention of fires and be part of the firefighting team.
- Keep a record of all the day to day maintenance activities undertaken in the facilities.
- Carry out any other work-related duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Post-Secondary Certificate in respective field.
- At least 2-3 years working experience in the related field.
