Job Description
The Security Officer at Vallée de Mai will support the protection, conservation, and day-to-day management of the park by enforcing park regulations, ensuring the safety of visitors and natural resources, conducting patrols and monitoring activities, and assisting with park maintenance and other operational duties as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect and patrol the park and buffer zone to ensure the enforcement of park laws
- Ensure full adherence to all park regulations by all including visitors and staff
- Report any incident to the Site Manager and provide statements
- Safeguard residents and non-residents visiting the park
- Assist with the prevention of fires and fire fighting
- Assist in the day-to-day management and maintenance of the park
- Assist with the surveys and maintenance of park boundaries
- Assist in general observations including monitoring programmes and collection of data
- Participate in special patrol outside working hours
- Carry out any other work-related duties as may be assigned by supervisor
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- IGCSE level and successful completion of Post-Secondary education and three years working experience in relevant field and completion of a recognized basic training course in security operations.
